Obsidian Velvet Sherwani - Vishal Pandey

There's drama, and then there's this. Vishal Pandey chose a midnight velvet sherwani that catches light like oil on water—deep blacks shifting into bronze, copper, and violet depending on the angle. The fabric itself is a technical marvel: crushed velvet base layered with iridescent embroidery that creates an almost holographic effect. Artisans spent 219 hours mapping out abstract botanical patterns across the entire garment, using metallic threads in varying weights to create depth you can feel with your fingertips. The asymmetric drape adds movement to an otherwise structured piece, while the deep navy kurta underneath keeps the focus exactly where it belongs. This is what happens when you stop asking 'is it too much?' and start asking 'is it enough?'
